Co-extruded Composite Type:

ABS Insulating Edge Strips with 15mm Slot has a pear-shaped cross-section, with a long slot at the top and an elliptical fastening groove at the bottom. The slot contains an extruded composite insulating layer, which is connected to the main body via a wavy interface. An elliptical ABS fastening rod is inserted into the bottom fastening groove. The fastening rod enhances lateral force, and the insulating layer increases the contact area, significantly improving clamping stability. This design is suitable for electrolytic applications requiring high clamping strength.

Wedge-shaped locking teeth: ABS Insulating Edge Strips with 15mm Slot is a long strip with a rectangular cross-section, and the two side walls of the central slot have integrally formed wedge-shaped locking teeth with inward-facing pointed teeth. During assembly, the locking teeth can fit into the teeth on the side wall of the cathode plate to form a self-locking structure. The gaps can also be filled with adhesive to further prevent electrolyte penetration. It is often used in cathode plates with high requirements for sealing and corrosion resistance, such as in hydrometallurgical zinc smelting.

Under optimal conditions (minimal chemical attack, moderate temperature, low mechanical stress), ABS edge strips may last 3 years.
