April 2, 2026 –According to the AATI team, their independently developed permanent stainless steel cathode plate for copper electrolysis has gained widespread market recognition. With a service life of up to 10 years, far exceeding traditional starting plates, it has successfully entered the international market, winning an order from the Musoni project of Metaris in South Africa.

The development of this stainless steel cathode plate overcame numerous technical challenges. Initially, the technical team encountered problems such as low precision in plate slotting, poor surface flatness, and unstable welding quality. Through unremitting efforts and collaboration with external companies and universities, they finally explored the optimal technical parameters. To address the plate deformation problem caused by high-power laser welding, the technical team adjusted to low-power laser welding, effectively solving the short-circuit problem caused by plate deformation in the electrolytic cell.

To improve the accuracy and efficiency of product quality inspection, AATI introduced automatic truss sag detection equipment in 2023, achieving a leap in product quality. Currently, the company's stainless steel cathode plate production line has basically achieved mechanization and automation. The collaborative work of loading and unloading robots and laser welding machines not only reduces manual labor intensity but also significantly improves production efficiency and product qualification rate. It is reported that the company will complete 30,000 orders in the first quarter of this year and is steadily moving toward its goal of processing 6,000 tons of products by 2026.
