March 13, 2026 –AATi, a leading enterprise in the field of metallurgical electrodes, announced the official mass production of its independently developed fence-type aluminum-based lead alloy composite anode plates. This innovative product has broken the 150-year history of traditional lead-based alloy anodes in hydrometallurgy, achieving significant breakthroughs in energy conservation and cost reduction, and has been widely adopted by major nonferrous metal smelting enterprises at home and abroad.

Different from traditional plate-shaped lead-based alloy anodes, the new fence-type lead-based alloy anode plate adopts a unique structural design and advanced composite material technology. It combines the excellent electrical conductivity of aluminum with the good electrochemical performance of lead alloy, reducing lead alloy usage by 35% while improving electrical conductivity by 5 times compared with traditional products. In practical application, the product can reduce energy consumption by more than 5%, increase copper output by 3%-10% and zinc output by 2%-6%, and reduce anode costs by up to 10%.

Ren Zongjie, Chairman of AATi, stated that the R&D of the product has gone through long-term technical tackling, focusing on solving the pain points of traditional lead-based alloy anodes such as high energy consumption, low mechanical strength and serious lead dissolution. At present, the product has been successfully applied in projects of China Nonferrous Huaxin Hydrometallurgy Co., Ltd. in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with a service life of more than 3 years, winning high recognition from overseas customers. The mass production of this product will further promote the energy conservation and emission reduction of the global nonferrous metal smelting industry and help the industry achieve green development.
